Difficulty In Passing Stools Early Morning

I am 30 year old, I cannot pass stools until I eat and drink something. Sometimes, if I am on my to office pressure develops to pass stools. It becomes difficult to control.


I am frustrated, please help.


Answer

Passing stools early morning is a great relief and it is considered essential for good health. You are not having constipation, but your question is more related to habit forming.


Follow these Healthy Habits.

  • Get up well before you have to leave your home for office. Paucity of time early morning can induce stress.

  • Drink 2-3 glasses of water on waking up. Thereafter take fresh lime juice with honey in luke warm water.

  • Walk for 10 -15 minutes. Also do some stretching and few surya namaskar asanas.

Bowels can be trained for regular function.

  • Visit the toilet at fixed time each time and you should be mentally prepared to spare up to 30 minutes. Some people find it convenient to carry a book or newspaper toilet.

  • Avoid straining to pass stools.

  • Have a firm resolve, relaxed and a positive state of mind. Do not think of failure.

  • You will require patience for few days as it may take some time for training of bowels.

  • Even despite your best efforts, do not worry, drink a glass of milk along with a toast if required.

Diet. You need lots of fiber in your diet. Eat fruits like guava, grapes, pears or apple to your hearts content. Include more of green leafy vegetables to your diet. Avoid too much spicy, processed food.

Do you get proper sleep and wake up fresh each day? Get proper sleep in night. If you do not do yoga, try at least shavasana and yoga nidra for relaxation.

Finish your dinner by sunset each day. If dinner is delayed, keep it very light.

Stool problems and Constipation

Sir,

I have a problem that when I wake up in the morning, I don't feel pressure in the stomach automatically to pass stools. Even after drinking 4-6 glass of water and even after having cup tea do not feel any pressure. My stomach swell after having so much water but don't feel pressure. At night I take hot milk and some ayurvedic churna like Gandharva Haritaki Churna. I want to feel pressure as soon I wake up. Please suggest.

Multiple visits to the Toilet every morning

Dear Teacher,

I am 55 years old and had a very busy lifestyle with travel to different parts of the world 15 days a month. Because of this my food habits were irregular, overeating, no time for exercise, high stress, regular cough and cold and bloated feeling etc. However, I was always able to overcome my body's sluggishness through sheer will power.

5 years ago I decided to change my lifestyle completely. I eat healthy with awareness, do yogasanas and pranayam 4-5 times a week, sleep on time. I also went through ayurvedic panchkarma treatment 2 years ago.

As I got more time, I started to become aware of my digestive system. From a period 5 years ago where I had to go to the toilet 4-5 times in the morning with dry stool and extreme flatulence in the evening, I reached a point where 3-4 days a week I felt better after 2-3 visits and my stool was not dry. However, there were still 2-3 days a week when the feeling of inadequate evacuation persisted throughout the day followed by flatulence in the evenings which made things better. I stopped eating dal/channa etc which improved my faltulence.

It was then suggested that I take a tsp of Triphala with warm water 2 hours after dinner. I have been doing this for 2 months now. My challenge is that when I take a heaped spoon, my bowel movement is all liquid, when i take less, the stool is better formed but evacuation incomplete. In both cases, I have to go 3-4 times between 7 and 10 am to the toilet, including drinking a lot of warm water to encourage bowel movement.

My sinusitis has improved with Triphala.

Sir,

Drinking warm water is ok if it helps. You need to change your lifestyle and diet, it may help. Try to eat a light dinner and get up early so that there is no panic or rushing up to go for office.

Confusion about exercise

Is it ok do exercise before passing the stool?

It is ideal to freshen up and clear your bowels before doing any exercise. However, yoga or pranayama can be done in the morning before passing stools.

Digestion Problem

I have many small jobs to do in the morning like to run the motor, fill the buckets with water, make tea etc..So I think due to this rush in the morning sometimes I have problem in the smooth movement of the stools in spite of drinking so much water and eating so much fibrous food.
Please suggest some alternative.

Stool passing problem

Sir, whenever I go for toilet it becomes difficult for me. Blood also come with it and it's really painful. So stool should pass easily and early morning.

My tuition is on 8 A.M morning. So I am having difficulty in passing stool. I wake up at nearly 6 A.M and even if sometimes I pass the stool, I feel like I am not empty. Please help me.

Which time is best for going to toilet (before breakfast or after breakfast)? Does this matters?

I have a problem of passing stool upon the condition that I have to first take breakfast and then go to the washroom for passing stool and take bath. If I wake up and first take bath and have breakfast, that day is sure to be my worst day as I am unable to pass stool. Due to this I face much problem when have to go out on a tour or trip as there I will have to take bath first then eat so I do not pass any stool and the whole tummy gets inflated. Any solution to this problem?

There can be many reasons for this, the way you eat and what you eat. Try to take light dinner and sleep early. After getting up drink two glasses of luke warm water and wait for 10-15 minutes to clear the bowels. See if that helps.

Diabetic problem of passing stools early morning

I am 47 years and a diabetic patient since 15 years. Now I have a problem of passing stools early morning as I used to go every day before one year. Some times slight pain in the stomach also. Is it any causes for severe illness? Will be passing stools every day or in two days but not on a regular time. Please advise triphala powder will help me.

Can I do exercise without going to pass stool

If you get better by using triphala you can use it for 2-3 weeks and then gradually reduce its intake to twice or thrice a week. In addition, start with regular exercise, nutritious diet, rest and relaxation so that you do not have to depend on triphala powder.

Getting free motion in the morning but not the whole at a time

Hi Sir,

I have a peculiar problem. I go to toilet everyday morning and I get a free motion. I can easily pass the stools and don't find any difficulty in doing so. But after some time the motion will stop coming. I can feel that still something is left out to pass, but how long I sit also it wont come. Then in the day anytime it will come after lunch or in the evening time. But the feeling of going to toilet and pass the stool will always be there. This is troubling me when I sit in office.

Could you please help me to resolve my problem? I do yoga everyday.

Stool more than 2 times

Hi Sir,
I wake up early in the morning but I can't pass stool. I have to drink hot water then after sometimes i have to pass stool. Then, I eat black tea with biscuit as breakfast. Again, I have to pass stool. After 1,2 hours again I have watery stool. Please sir what's the solution for this problem. I don't have regular habit of passing stool. Sometimes I don't have to pass stool for 2,3 days.

Improper bowel

From many years I am suffering from this problem. Every morning I face difficulty in going to toilet. I have to strain for longer time to complete this task and even after that I feel that I have not completely done it. Then after that whenever I eat anything i feel the urge to go to toilet. After having breakfast, after lunch, after snacks in the evening and even after dinner at night. I feel so embarrassed because of doing this even at my office. Due to this I am stressed always whether I go out with my friends or my family. I have a shift wise duty because of which I am unable to maintain a particular routine for eating, sleeping or doing things necessary for good health. Please guide me so that I can overcome this major problem of my life.

I have to pass the stool twice

I get up in the morning, go to toilet to pass the stool. After that I brush my teeth and drink two glass water with an amla. Then approximately after 2 hours I feel the pressure again and I have to go to toilet again to pass the stool. I have tried Ayurveda treatment but it was a failure. Please suggest the way that how can I pass stool on one go. It will be really helpful.

I feel heaviness and gas even i used to visit toilet minimum 2 times in a day. The system do not cleaned completely. The stomach become hard after lunch.Please suggest some solution.

No fixed time

I do not have any fixed time for it. It comes anytime and I have to control it. Suggest something so that I can shift it in the morning as I wanted to do yoga and exercises daily, as it requires empty stomach.

Please refer to my reply on earlier comment about taking triphala. Take early dinner, eat balanced vegetarian food get up early in the morning. Do weekly fast one and take only fruits, vegetables, fresh fruit/ vegetable juice or lime juice. Continue with your practice of yoga early morning and hopefully you will feel better.

Morning Pressure

My my mother is 65 years old having cronic constipation. She is always worried about how to pass the stool, not even take regular food. she complain that she is having piles but I think she used to go toilet frequently thats why she is having pain. Sir suggest me so that I can help her. Regards.

My problem also same as above when I get up I can not pass stools at once. While going for college there is urge to pass stools and I can not control. I am fed up of this problem and getting the urge to pass stools at irregular times. Please give me any solutions.
