I live in an isolate northern state in the US and there are no yoga studios. It was suggested to me to try meditation and from there I ordered a DVD on yoga for beginners. That was three months ago, and I have only missed one day. I bought books and started using the sequences from them, then began creating my own so that now I have a collection to choose from: DVD and sequences from sources and myself. My little "she shack" is now my yoga hut and appropriately decorated! I love putting out my clothes and my mat every night for the early morning asana. Best of all I face a mountain as I do my poses. I often come to this site to read for inspiration. I've become a conscious vegetarian, too. I read many books on techniques of yoga and bought them. It's not just about breathing and poses for sure. Thank you for posting this site and giving people the chance to share their experience and hope!
