Yoga For Calcification in Urinary bladder

by Smriti
(Germany)

Namaste. I am a 38 year old female and have 2.3 by 2.2 by 3.2 cm of calcification in Urinary Bladder. I had a CT scan and as per CT scan it does not look like a tumour but is calcification. However it is not moving like stone where as it is fixed on the urinary bladder. Can it be removed with Yoga and ayurveda? I would be indeed very thankful to you if you could please reply yo me on my email.

Answer

1. It is best to follow your doctors advice.

2. There are some yoga poses which may help in getting rid of stones in kidneys or urinary bladder. If you want to adopt yoga as a therapy to remove stones, you need to consult an experienced yoga teacher. However, these are not sure shot methods and success may not be immediate. Meanwhile you can practice trikonasana, suryanamaskar asana, padotanasana, ushtrasana and kapalabhati pranayama. Baba Ramdev also advises to do kapalabhati for removal of stones in kidney, urinary bladder or gall bladder. Yoga practice will definitely help to improve functioning of kidney, improve the calcium metabolism and remove toxins from the body.

3. I have suffered myself from kidney stones in year 2001. For me homeopathic medicine was most effective and there has been no recurrence since then. In addition, I had taken horse gram curry and cystone ayurvedic tablets. Eating 1-2 leaves of kidney wort plant (known as pathar chatta in hindi)is also considered to be good for kidney stones. Also, drink lot of water and eat more of fresh fruits and vegetables. Eat as per yogic diet philosophy.

4. Therefore, you can do the following:

~ Follow your doctors advice.
~ Keep doing yoga.
~ Consult a homeopathic doctor.
~ Eat healthy well balanced diet.
~ Drink plenty of fluids.
~ Do not take calcium in supplement form.
~ Avoid foods which are known to aid stone formation like beets, spinach, black tea, chocolate and nuts. Limit intake of milk products and other green leafy vegetables.

Wishing you speedy recovery.

Horse Gram Dal
by: Smriti

Dear Daljitji,

As you advised in one of the post to take Kulthi dal for decalcification in urinary bladder, so luckily I got Horse gram dal in Frankfurt. Could you please advise me how should I cook it in order to obtain maximum benefit for decalcification.

Also is it okay to eat lady's finger(okra or bhindi).

Looking forward to your reply.

Many thanks
Smriti

Editors Note
Just make it like a lentil soup, boil Horse Gram beans, mash it, add salt to taste and drink like a soup once a day.

Warm regards
Daljit

Avoid Surgery
by: Arunachalam

Allopathic doctors will advise for surgery. But you will land in permanent Ortho problems after surgery. Try for ayurvedic and acupuncture for recovery as they don't have side effects.

Yoga Guidance
by: Smriti

Dear Daljitji,

Thank you once again for your valuable guidance. Actually I am trying to follow yogic diet since more than a month and have also reduced 4-5 kgs. Now I need to reduce 5 kgs more. You are absolutely right, I am feeling much more fit after reducing 5 kgs, I walk faster now, do not get easily tired, backache has vanished. Thats why after seeing these benefits I got more faith in Yoga and ayurveda.

I normally do suryanamaskar for 4 times and kapalbhati for 15-20 min and anulom-vilom. Sometimes I do kapalbhati in evening too. I would be grateful to you if you could advise me more on yoga and pranayam. I am based in Germany in Frankfurt. If you feel that you can explain me better over phone, then I can call you as per your convenience.

Many thanks

Cyst In Ovaries
by: Smriti

Dear Sir,

Apart from calcification in the urinary bladder, I have one more problem. I have 6-7 cm cyst in both the ovaries. It's existing since 3 years now. I have taken various allopathic treatments but there is hardly any result. Now I am doing kapalabhati and suryanamaskar since 2 weeks. Could you please suggest if any particular fruit, vegetable or herbs or homeopathic medicines could help the cyst to dissolve naturally. Also kindly advise if any yoga exercise would help.
Also my platelet counts are in the range of 60,000 to 70,000. Looking forward to your reply once again.

Editors Note

You need to take a multi pronged approach.
~ Reduce weight if weight is more.
~ Regular exercise or yoga to get fit.
~ Proper rest and relaxation.
~ Eat healthy as per yogic diet.

Once your body becomes fit with yoga, healing will start from within. It is recommended to include more asanas and pranayama in your yoga practice to get maximum benefits. You can contact me if you need any advise for customising your yoga sequence.

You need to get into yoga practice with faith and determination. Here is an inspiring yoga story which can give you a better perspective about what I wanted to say.

Hope this helps.

Acupunture
by: Smriti

Dear Mr. Arunachalamji,

Many thanks for your suggestion of acupuncture. As you have mentioned that it's helpful for kidney stones, so I would like to ask you if it's helpful for calcification inside urinary bladder too. I have calcification in the urinary bladder and not in the kidneys.

Thank You once again for contributing.

Accupunture for kidney
by: Arunachalam

From my personal experience I found that acupuncture is very good treatment for kidney problems. Kidney failure cases are successfully treated by acupuncture. You can try this out also as there are no side effect problems.

Editors Note

Thanks Arunachalam for sharing your experience. Acupuncture is also an alternative therapy which can supplement yoga practice. Basic idea is to get relief.

Thank You
by: Smriti

Dear Daljit

Many thanks for such a prompt reply. It's indeed very useful. I will look for asanas as prescribed by you. Have started with surya namaskar and kapalabhati since 10 days. I will also look for a homeopath in Germany. Also please advise if tomato, brinjal should be avoided in case of calcification. Also does horse gram has any side effects? What is its hindi name?
Thank you once again.

Regards
Smriti

Editors Note

Dear Smriti

You are most welcome. Hindi name of horse gram is kulthi dal. There are no side effects, it increases metabolic fire, start with small portions in the beginning. You may avoid tomato and brinjal and eat in small quantity. If you take plenty of vegetables/fruits, your digestive system and kidneys are working fine, there is less likelihood of stone formation.

After my stones got removed with the help of homeopathy, there is no recurrence. I do regular yoga, eat vegetarian diet with lot of fruits and vegetables and can eat even foods known to facilitate stone formation.

Yoga practice is excellent for prevention of stone formation.

Hope this helps
